Ladies Tour – Cape Town (11 days)

Day 1: You arrival in Cape Town, and we pick you up, and shuttle you to your Accommodation. Here you’ll have some time to unwind and recover from you long flight. The afternoon you are free to do spend as you desire and we will assist/advise you about the possibilities if need be.  In the evening we go out for dinner as a group.


Day 2: After breakfast we introduce you to your bikes and do the necessary adjustments according to your comforts, preference and needs.  We then go for a short ride along the Blouberg coastal road to popular local eatery Doodles or one of the many eateries at Eden on the Bay. From there we ride to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront from where you could join a 3 hour Robben Island tour.  It involves catching a ferry to Robben Island and participating in a guided tour of the Island and prison where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner more than 20 years in the prime of his life. Afterwards there a lots of shops , restaurants and bars in the Waterfront to peruse. In the evening we drive up to Signal Hill for the a picnic and exquisite sunset. When the sun is down we hit the night life downtown around long street, the party mile in Cape Town.  There are many nice places to choose from, including dancing to a marimba band in the famous "Mama Africa" restaurant, or dance a sensual Angolan Rumba at a quaint restaurant/club serving delicious Portuguese cuisine.


Day 3: If the weather is on our side and Table Mountain is not covered in its famous cloud table cloth, we will take a drive to  the the cable car station and look over the mother city from above. If time allows you could chose to take a cable car ride up to the very top of the mountain and spend some quality time enjoying pristine views of all sides of the peninsula, and perhaps some leisurely walks along the top.  From here we ride via Hout Bay and the legendary Chapman´s peak drive to the Cape Point the "Cape of Good  Hope" which is the South Western Most point of Africa. On the way back we stop in Simonstown and marvel over the adorable penguins in their natural habitat. If time allows, we stop at Muizenberg beach and watch the surfers riding some big waves at Surfer’s Corner. The evening we spend in a cosy restaurant or if you are still full of energy you can explore some more of what Cape Town’s  nightlife has to offer on your own.


Day 4: Today we say goodbye to Cape Town and hit the road into the heart the Winelands. South African Wine is of top quality and exported worldwide.  Here we take some scenic roads and the Franschoek Pass ride via Rooi Els for lunch we stop at Paarl Mountain nature reserve . In the afternoon we settle in at our accommodation for the night and afterwards will be taken for some wine tasting and dinner at a top notch vineyard.


Day 5: We leave the winelands behind us and ride towards the sea where we get some nice winding coastal roads under our wheels. We stop for some nice shots on the way via Bettys Bay, Pringle Bay, Gansbaai and Hermanus we ride to Cape Agulhas the southernmost  point of the African continent where we spend the night.


Day 6: On this day of the tour we hit the legendary Route 62 ride towards Outdshoorn.  Oudshoorn is a town in the Karoo famous for abundant Ostrich farming, beautiful mountains and the world famous absolutely breathtaking Cango Caves. Along the way there, we stop for lunch in Calitzdorp. Further along the way, we make a quick stop at the legendary "Ronnie`s Sex Shop".  It is not what you think.  Once intended by Ronnie to be a fresh produce shop, his friend’s played a trick on him and added “sex” to the name painted on the wall “Ronnie’s shop”, Since the place became so famous, his friends advised him to open a pub instead, and he took their advice.  The rest is history.  It cannot be passed without a visit.  It is a place especially popular with bikers.  Once in Oudshoorn, during our time there, you can spend time visiting Ostrich farms and the Cango Caves.  You can even ride an Ostrich!


Day 7: Over mountain passes we meet up with the garden route with a stop a Plettenberg Bay Beach to cool of if necessary. Then we ride further to the Natures Valley nature Reserve and from there cruise on to Storms River Village the Centre of adventure Sport in the Tsitsikamma Forest National Park.


Day 8: Today we give the bikes a break and you can choose some of the Extreme Adventures like Bungee jump from the Bloukrans Bridge, the highest commercial Bungee jump in the world. Zip line through tree tops, black water rafting or just take a walk one of the many hiking trails.


Day 9: With a few scenic stops along the Garden Route like Knysna Elephant Park we ride to the Knysna Heads have a nice few over the Knysna Lagoon and aftewards visit an Oyster farm. Then we check in at our accommodation and the afternoon can spend as you like. There are plenty of Boutiques, art and souvenier shops. Perhaps you’d prefer a boat cruise on the lagoon or a walk in the forest.


Day10: We hit the road to Mossel Bay where we visit the museum, the Lighthouse and afterwards we go for a swim. We carry  on to the very remote little village of Still Bay where we spend the night. If the weather is on our side we can organize a "braai" (this is what South Africans call a barbeque).  Braai is like a national pastime in South AFrica


Day11: We say goodbye to the coast and ride over some scenic mountain passes to Barrydale where we spend some well deserved downtime relaxing in the hot springs. We go on to Montagu where we will spend the night. For dinner we go to an world class restaurant for some delicious local cuisine


Day12: On some curvy detours we ride back to the mother city (Cape Town).  The afternoon you can spend your time on whatever you prefer.  Of course, if you need some advice, we are more than happy to help you decide on how to spend the day.  In the evening we have a goodbye dinner, and if you like you could catch some more Cape Town nightlife for old times sake!


When the tour is officially over, you are still welcome to rent the bike for a few more days after the trip. We also offer a shuttle to the airport at a later if you’d like to spend some more time in Cape Town


Included in the tour price is the Airport Shuttle, Enduro, luggage transport in our Support 4x4 vehicle. Normally we carry a spare bike on our trailer with us. We use Duelsport/Enduro bikes like YAMAHA XT600E, SUZUKI DR650SE, MZ660 BAGHIRA and YAMAHA XTZ660. We also charge a refundable 500 Euro deposit to cover possible damages to the bikes.


Not included is your airfare, accommodation and meals. Accommodation is available in different price ranges Budget to 5 star, according to your needs.
